Usually one team is favored...this is usa..mls.... also are you going to have nba and major league baseball.... please advise.. thanks Rick |

1. Thanks for the note. What section needs to be explained better in Help? 2. Chicago - Kansas City 1-X-2=131-275-232 (US) or 2.31-3.75-3.32 (decimal). It's pretty common situation when the home team has 1/4 ball advantage, and the total value is about 2.5 balls. 3. NBA & MLB are of course to be included. In the meanwhile, you can create such leagues and maintain them (add games) manually. |

home team odds today on Chicago is 131 and away win odds is 232. I must be missing something....one team is favored and one is the dog. So if you want to be on the favorite for example you might lay -120 to win 100 and the other side might be 100 to win 110 or a 10c line. Where do you find these odds in your software? Ie odds for home team to win game and odds for the way team to win. I understand the overunder odds on your software..but not the other. Thanks Rick (Added) for instance...a game that is going to be played on 8/19th..usa mls putting in stake wizard... home win for salt lake is 194 away win for dyn houston is 157 How do you convert these into typical betting lines ...as to which team is favored and which is dog and by how much.... under options i have usa and fixed |

1. First of all, Stake Wizard must be fed with odds in decimal notation. You can easily change notation by choosing Odds -> Notation -> Decimal. 2. Favorite team may have odds over 2.0 (decimal), or over 100 (US), because there is a 3rd possible outcome - the draw. For AHO, home and away fair odds are exactly reciprocal, e.g. -120 / 120 in US notation - that's what you're expected. In general, decimal odds are equal to F = 1/probability. Sum of probabilities for the mutually exclusive outcome of an event is 1. So 1-X-2 fair odds comply to the relationship 1/F1+1/FX+1/F2=1. Check that yourselves! Quote:
All these odds (over 70 values per event) are computed by Odds Wizard, and presented on the main form. By pressing F3...F8 you may switch between odds views. |
