VAR usage and home advantage

Have you considered the effects of VAR on home advantage? I read a very interesting article. Thoughts?

Indeed VAR has serious impact on the ratio of HOME/AWAY penalties which now tends to 1 in Serie A. This will definitely result in reducing home advantage. Fortunately OW uses adaptive algorithm which will always keep home advantage updated according to the actual games results data.
