In-Total, Attack, Defence Rating

i was aondering if the formulas for the calculation of the In-Total, Attack defence rating are know to the public?

any ideas?

Rating is an integral strength of a team. Attack and Defence are the strengths of the team's attack and defence respectively. In-total is an ability to generate total goals due to the strong attack and weak defence.

All those values are relative to each other, so their absolute value has no rigorous sense since introduction of more sophisticated algorithms starting from 2006.

There is no simple formula to calculate strength variables. They are subject to advanced statistical analysis using linear algebra methods.

Normally user don't need this information in evaluating odds. This is done by the program. However some advanced users may want either to increase or decrease rating of a particular team in a manual mode: Options > Manual input of ratings / intotals.
