Play a game even when the value has dropped or avoid.

In a scenario where a game gives value a day before the game is played but on the day of the said game, the value has dropped to the point of non existence. Is it still advisable to play a game like that?
And is it better to play a game of value the moment it comes out or one should wait until the day of the event in order to ward off any unforseen circumstances that may hinder a winning bet.

First of all, no value (FAIR >= MARKET) means no winnings in the long run. So dropping market odds below fair level makes no sense for betting at all.
From the other side, rising market odds (upward market trends) are also something bettor must beware of. I would check that all or most bookies demonstrate the same odds trend in order to beleive it really implicitly signals of some problems in the team (upward odds trend) or in the opposite team (downward odds trend). Of course, all these considerations are subject to indepth analysis in any specific case.
