Trend comparison base ?

Postby trueblue2 » Thu Jul 23, 2015 5:34 am

Hi Alex,
I've been through lots of leagues on the Oddswizard Options and the Trend comparison base is set to 10 on some leagues and 100 on others ?
Why is this ? For example Iceland is set to 10, England Conference North is set to 100 ? Should every league be set to 100 ?

What do you recommend the trend comparison base being set to ? Is it needed if Oddswizard's prediction odds are more accurate using the 2015 algorithm ? Does the program automatically update the trend comparison base as the football season progresses ? Surely the blue cells are a part of the program that is needed to show which teams are not playing to their potential ?

Old value is 200 days. Now 100 is recommended for all leagues except of international soccer.
It is important that trend comparison base does not affect the odds in any way. This base is not updated automatically.

What should Internationals be set to ? Is it recommended to bet on Internationals ?

It is a good idea to set trend comparison base to 10% of the depreciation period. EuroChamp's DP=9000 days, thus base = 900 days.
Is it recommended to bet on Internationals because their success rate is highest among all other leagues.

Hi Alex,
In the new version of the software the depreciation period and trend comparison base are not pre built into each leagues. I have had to look at the previous version of Oddswizard to get these. For new users this is no good in that they are not able to use the correct depreciation and trend comparison base. For example , the Europe - Euro - Qualification on the new version was set to Depreciation 900, not 9000 as you recommend. Surely the trend comaprison base is a key point of the software in that you are looking for value by opposing blue cells and backing the value cells .

That's strange because we've checked DP, and it is equal to 9000 days exactly as in previous version.
