I've recently been looking at the Performance analysis screen of the various leagues covered by OW. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this just shows the success rate of OW's predictions.

One of the highest rates was for International matches and it struck me that a lot of the odds for these games were not very attractive, i.e. there are a lot of good teams playing poor teams in the qualifiers. Odds of 1.1 and even less are quite often seen. Given this fact, the success rate of OW on International matches is not unsuprising but it might not have been profitable to have bet on all these games (not that I would have anyway but I'm just talking hypothetically).

So, is there anyway to determine whether a pound (or whatever currency you use) on each game would have yielded a profit? Obviously, OW's fair value odds would have to be used to compute this, unless some way could be found to include the real world bookmakers odds into the program.

Anyway, thanks for reading.

Regards, Theuth.

That's right. Performance analysis shows success rate of OW's predictions.

The answer is in Stake Wizard tool where you analyse real world bookie's odds vs fair odds. There is no however simple formula to get an answer using calculator. If you are familiar with math subject, please read the topic 'Mathematical backgroung' in Stake Wizard Guide (press F1 or choose menu Help in Stake Wizard tool). All those formulae are implemented by the program.

Hi, I think the question really is if OW is better then the Bookmakers.
Theuth, I think you will have to gather the evidence yourself. I did some research though , do you want the file sent to you?
Alexs advice is still valid.

Yes please, Amir, that'll be good. Thank you.

There is another program called 'Betting Genius' which will do this but the bookmakers' odds have to be entered into the program for all the games to make it work properly. It gets very tedious.

It's success rate doesn't seem as good as OW and it's GUI looks very dated. OW is much the better program.

regards, Theuth.
