Tips on using Odds Wizard

1. Line odds are published by sportsbooks and betting exchanges. As an example of line odds, Odds Wizard fetches bwin fixed odds 1-X-2 and double chance odds 1X-2X. It is done by several methods in Odds Wizard. In particular, you can press F2 to view the latest bwin odds. Afterwards, the line odds can be fed into Stake Wizard tool along with the fair odds simply by choosing desired event and type of bet, and pressing <Ctrl-F>.

Handicaps offered by bookies may differ from those calculated by Odds Wizard due to the different handicap bases. To align the bases, you can adjust them manually in the grey editable column 'AHO', and press <Enter>. Corresponding odds for 1 and 2 will be displayed immediately. For example: sportsbook offers AHO (0 : 3/4) 2.00 v 1.60 for Toronto FC vs DC United (April 17) while Odds Wizard has calculated (0 : 1/2) 1.91 v 2.10. Now we enter AHO (0 : 0.75) in the AHO column and press <Enter>: 2.23 v 1.83.

2. Odds Wizard computes fair odds 'on-the-fly' in a second. It does not rely on any external data source. Empty odds table might have another reason, e.g. shareware (unregistered) mode for the big leagues.

3. Yes, but not for a single match. It is better to use new Stake Wizard files for a set of chosen weekend events (Line > Fair). That's right, Z ave 4% limit (= 104% ROI) is recommended to ascertain good success.

Those who are reluctant to bet big amounts, may want to increase the confidence probability level to e.g. 99%. This will result in less amounts of calculated bets.

Hello. Can anyone explain to me the different colors when the "fetch market odds" option is on? As far as I understand the greener the more recommended for a bet, purple is not recommended, but I don't understand what gray means? Thanks in advance.

Color coding:

1. Violet (or blue on LCD screens) - events which are NOT
recommended to bet on due to unfavourable trends.

2. Green - bet events suitable for betting and meeting the
criterion Fair odds < Line odds. The greater the difference,
the deeper the green color. Dark green (Fair << Line) requires
additional checking from another sources.

3. Red on the correct scores view - indicates the probability of
some certain score to happen. The greater the probaility, the deeper
the red color.

4. Grey - same as 2 but with unfavorable upward market odds trend.

1 and 4 are the elements of Odds > Antibet filter.

There are different reasons at the beginning and at the end of season. In the first case, newly promoted teams may have not enough past games for the reliable statistics, and 2-3 rounds are needed to fill up this gap. In the second case, there may be no motivation to play at full strength as tournament places cannot be changed in spite of the any outcome of the game. Also, there could be situation when only one team has motivation to advance in tournament table, and another team can be "motivated" otherwise, and so on. The tool Tournament analysis can be used to anticipate all such scenarios.

When should you analyze a match using software? Directly before the match, or a few days before the match

Every completed game is taken into account in statistical calculations, and therefore ratings and other strength variables of teams are subject to change. This results in changing of all the odds, especially those with involved teams. That's why the right answer: if there were additional matches even with another teams, it is better to analyse upon completion of those matches.

But what do I see
I looked at the match on Wednesday the green light is on for the home team to win, I look before the match, the color has already changed to purple, i.e. to a negative trend. What can be wrong

What specific match are you talking about? Once again, any added result after you have seen green cells may change ratings and odds. So nothing strange that some cells change their color due to change in relative values of strength variables. By the way, you can turn off the option Odds > Antibet filter > Unfavorable trends to see more green cells, but I don't recommend to.
