I am still convinced that using the 2006 algorithm shows better performance than the 2007 algorithm.

Italy Serie A -

2006 algorithm shows 115.6 success rate and 0.9951 Entropy = 115.03 combined
2007 algorithm shows 114.5 success rate and 0.9926 Entropy = 113.65 combined

Even the o/u calculations show 2006 to be favourable.

This is just one example but pick a random league and 2006 performs better than 2007. Test it yourself.

Unless I am missing the point somewhere I would say 2006 is better, albeit marginally.

Algorithm's advantages cannot be judged just by a single league.

Algorithm of 2006 computes more precise odds for the big leagues (e.g. international leagues), and for the matches with great difference in teams' ratings - as compared to that of 2002. For example, in algorithm of 2002, you could hardly expect the most likely correct score of San Marino - Germany 0:5, and the total value of 5. Algorithm of 2007 has the same advantage plus more accurate computing of totals.

I recommend to use algorithm of 2007. However some users believe that algorithm of 2002 (and sometimes 2006) better suits
for US sports. That is why we have retained all algorithms for the final user's discretion.

The newer algorithm of 2007 is being used by default, although algorithm of 2006 was retained as an option for those who believe that it was the best. More accurate calculation of the totals/overs/unders as well as correct scores was the major improvement in 2007. The most advantage of the 2007 was achieved in international soccer leagues EuroChamp and International.
