Okay, thanks. Check your email. Found a file from yesterday.

While I was poking about with the file, I noticed that red cards are recorded in the text. A red card can make a big difference to a game and thus, the odds. Does the new live update take red cards into account when calculating odds?

Red cards are not taken into account as for now. They will be counted in the next release of v2.00.

The problem with live results/odds apparently has been resolved.
The reason was in UK date format. Many thanks to Theuth for his kind assistance.

Please download & reinstall Odds Wizard build # 2.0.0.48.

That's fantastic Alex. I now have a STOP button where the new arrow was before and everything seems to be working great.

Thanks for the quick update.

I think 2007 algorithm must be checked, because it has lack of true predictions scores. This is big handicap for 2007 algortihm when we compare 2006 to 2007 algorithm. Because odds wizard produces odds when we check 2007 algorithm, it shows score nearly all of the matches 1-1. This should not be true prediction. Secondly I wonder chart menu>ratings> teams vs teams. I think odds wizard shows rating of a team both home and away rating total. I suggest to authors of the odds wizard, Chart menu should show team vs team rating divided into home and away rating. Such as when we choose A team and B team, team vs team graphs must shows (if A team will play at home) A team rating at home and B team away rating. Most bookies use home and away performances of the team to compute odds. This information very usefull to compute odds. For example A team will play at home and has high rating at home, because this team is strong at home but when it will play away this team has low rating because it is weaker than home. I think odds wizard rating system lack of this critical information. Thanks for your attention and participitation.

Algorithm issues are being discussed in the topic Algorithm-2007:

We have already tried separation onto home and away ratings. But the advantage appeared to be doubtful, and the ratings were unstable. Sometimes the 'separated' model said: away rating is greater than home rating.

Anyway we are constantly working on improving performance, and have tried a number of various methods, including the suggested one. However the above post is regarded as an incentive to keep searching better models. Thanks!

Alex,

If you have say 50 games to predict and when you hit update fixtures it shows the first 24. Is there a way then to automatically show the next 24 without having to do a manual entry for each matchup?

thanks

Rick

All sports supported by Odds Wizard as so far require at most 24 fixtures. That's why there is no regular way to display more fixtures at a time.

Possible (though not simple) method to display odds for the next 24 fixtures is as follows:

1. Display all fixtures of interest in the games table. Adjust the setting 'Show new fixtures, rounds' if necessary.

2. Assign the next 24 fixtures some future date (e.g. +1 day from the first 24 fixtures) in the games table.

3. Save the file.

4. Update games from the same file so that 'fixed' fixtures were updated.

5. Change system date to the date of the next 24 fixtures.

6. Close and open the program. Display odds of your interest.

7. Change system date back to the original value.
